InterRacks is proud to announce its sponsorship of ENS-IX, our very own Internet Exchange project!
The goal of ENS-IX is to strengthen internet connectivity in the eastern region of the Netherlands, with a special focus on Enschede. To kick things off, we’ve launched a free internet exchange where all internet-related companies can benefit from a complimentary 10Gbit port.
This is just the beginning. Our vision is to expand ENS-IX to multiple locations and, in the future, even offer higher-speed ports at no cost. For now, ENS-IX is off to a strong start with 5 active members — and we’re excited to see this community continue to grow as we move toward an official launch!
At the moment, ENS-IX is run by us at InterRacks, but as the project evolves, we may transition it into an independent foundation.

At the Equinix data center in Enschede, we have completed a full upgrade of our network equipment. As a result, capacity has been increased from 40 Gbit/s to 400 Gbit/s.
With this final upgrade, the entire fiber ring in Twente is now operating at 400 Gbit/s. This marks a significant improvement in speed and reliability, providing a solid foundation for further growth and the development of digital services in the region.

Our equipment has been replaced at the Previder PDC2 datacenter. With the new Switches and Tranceivers we are able to reach speeds up to 400gbit/s compared to the old 40gbit/s! A verry nice upgrade!
